#HealthyDebate Would Marshmallows Actually Work As A Dinner Side?
Don't worry, I don't actually believe Marshmallows would be a good side dish, but someone had to find a way to use this clip on the blog, and dammit I'll be that guy.
Now a reminder, Will Compton is very much a Ryder, and for my money one of the nicest and most entertaining guys we got here. He's also a 10 year NFL veteran which means he's taken his fair share of licks over the years which means he may not have all his kernels of corn on the old cob upstairs if you catch my drift. Another big concern is how much this game means to Nebraska, and that Dave Portnoy has been playing mind games with him all week.
So Will thinking mashed potatoes ... maybe the most recognizable side dish of all time was marshmallows is a result of distraction, nothing more, and we as a society and his co workers should cut him some slack.
Did I mention how big a game this is for Nebraska ? And that Will is single handily trying to put the program on his back to bring it back to relevance ?
He sold me man. He's fired up … I hope the boys in Lincoln listen to these words and find something within themselves to get back to relevancy in college football because the Big 10 is better when Nebraska is in the mix.
Be sure to check out the College Football Show today live from Lincoln.
To get back to my original point of the post …
I do think 3 side dishes are criminally underrated and should be featured more at restaurants specifically steakhouses.
1- Stuffing.
Who doesn't like stuffing ? And why do we only serve it at Thanksgiving ? Makes absolutely zero sense.
2- Rice
Why does a good rice get absolutely no respect in terms of side dishes ? A nice seasoned rice with a steak ? Who says no ?
3- Carrots
Show some respect to carrots. Never get the respect they deserve.
