Looks Like We've Got Ourselves A First Pitch Throw Off Between Zach Johnson And Jordan Spieth

Who ya got?  A couple of two time major winners are throwing out first pitches at MLB games tonight and they’ve issued each other a challenge. Who will throw more heat, 22-year-old Texan Jordan Spieth or 39-year-old Iowan Zach Johnson?  The answer seems obvious.  Texas has produced some of the greatest flame throwers in the history of baseball.  The list is practically endless.  Spieth probably has at least a little Nolan Ryan in him so that’s something to think about. He also has the youth factor being almost two decades younger than Zach.  But you know what? I’m taking Zach all the way and I’ll tell you why.  I’ll be damned if I’m gonna turn my back and start doubting Zach now.  I can’t do it.  I won’t do it.  He’s done too much for me over the years with putting Cedar Rapids on the map.  I’m taking experience and wisdom (and Iowa) over raw talent.  Call me stupid but I know I’m right.  ZJ is crafty.  Not a lot of flash but he gets the job done.  Also I would feel pretty dumb if I picked Jordan and then Zach won.  I’m a lot of things but a traitor against the state of Iowa isn’t one of them.  Zach won’t let me down.
