My Red Hot Gambling Picks Are BACK!
RECORD
55-87-2 (+0 units)
I want to personally think Angus G. Prop, the man who invented the home run prop. That dude has made me a lot of money this year. We had a phenomenal bounce back to yesterday. Even though the Phillies won, they weren't able to cover on the run line. Trea Turner was responsible for a walk-off. That's the only bet we lost. I took a flyer out on the Nationals to keep the Yankees' losing streak going. That's exactly what happened. And I put a few sheckles down on Andrew McCutchen to go deep against Adam Wainwright, and he did. So we were +5.6 units alone yesterday. It's safe to say that the vibes are back. We've gone on hot streaks before. I hope yesterday is a sign of things to come. Let's take a look at today's picks.
Brewers -1.5 (+160) against the Twins
For a Corbin Burnes start in Milwaukee, I feel like +160 is tremendous value here. Burnes hasn't been able to return to being the Cy Young caliber pitcher that he has been over the last two years, but he's still lethal when he's on. Kenta Maeda has been solid for the Twins since coming off the IL. This is a big spot for Milwaukee, though. It is a home series against a first-place team, and Milwaukee has the opportunity to really separate themselves in the NL Central. I like Burnes today.
Marlins ML (+105) against the Padres
I'm taking a page out of yesterday's book and going with a road underdog on the money line. Sandy Alcantara has been very inconsistent this season and a far cry from the pitcher that won a Cy Young a year ago, but I do believe that he's turning around. Over his last eight starts his ERA is 2.54. Opponents are having difficulty squaring them up. They're only hitting to the tune of a .660 OPS over those eight outings. The Padres have been good to me when I've bet on their games this year. Considering where they are in the standings, they strike me as a team that's on the verge of throwing in the towel on the season. As much as the Marlins have struggled in the second half, they are still within striking distance of a playoff spot. I think they go to Petco and win this evening.
J.T. Realmuto to homer (+450) against the Giants
The data is your friend. The Phillies have some really good vibes going on right now. They're coming off of a dramatic walk-off win yesterday. The Giants are in the midst of a brutal part of their schedule, and they're really scuffling. Realmuto bailed me out earlier this season by hitting with a home run prop. His numbers against Alex Cobb have been fantastic. In 13 played appearances, Realmuto has collected four hits and two home runs. I know J.T's power numbers are down this season, but he's still a well above average hitting catcher. He saved me once. I'm looking for him to do it again. I think he goes deep tonight against Alex Cobb.
