It'd Be Insanely Stupid For The USA To Leave Brooks Koepka Off Our Ryder Cup Team
I know we're at Tour Championship week and all that, but we're also in Ryder Cup times. The US announced their 6 auto qualifiers:
Just missing was Brooks. Now comes the debate, which I don't really get, about whether or not you bring him to Italy for the Ryder Cup. What am I missing here? He's easily one of our 6 best options left. He's easily one of our 12 best guys. That's the whole point here. We want to win, right? Well if you want to win, you bring Brooks. I don't care about the LIV shit when it comes to Ryder Cup, I just want to beat the shit out of Europe and finally win a road match.
Look at what Brooks did during the majors this year. You don't want that guy on the team? Come on. Course manipulation is a real thing and heavier than normal now in Ryder Cups. Europe is going to have a damn good team too, so why wouldn't we send our best? It seems pretty simple to me, you have those 6 qualifiers then you send Spieth, Brooks, Morikawa, Cam Young (basically seems like he's got a spot). That's 10. The last 2 spots? The debate is basically Rickie, Justin Thomas, Keegan Bradley, Sam Burns and for some reason Bryson isn't in there. I think you really gotta look at Bryson because he's a fourball asset. I don't know how you bring JT. I love JT, but he's had the worst run of his career. He's not the shape of one of the 6 best guys left.
Do the right thing Zach and bring Brooks. Let's figure out a way to get a win on the road and keep the Cup. That's the goal here.
