The Videos And Pictures Of Dodger Stadium Surrounded By Water From Hurricane Hillary Are Incredibly Eerie
When I first saw these pictures and videos I thought they were from a scene of "The Walking Dead" or something. I didn't watch that awful show or anything but it didn't really look real.
Obviously Southern California was getting hammered by Hurricane Hilary on Sunday causing the Dodgers, Padres, and Angels to all cancel their games Sunday and move their games to Saturdays. 100% the right thing to do. Hurricanes are pretty common on the east coast but they don't get anything close to that on the west coast, they usually stick to their earthquakes which of course they got yesterday.
As far as I know, only 1 person had died in Mexico due to flooding and you hope there are no other deaths, I know they are expecting more flooding with hit making landfall but lets hope that is the the extent of the deaths.
But the videos and images of Dodger Stadium surrounded by water are just eerie. This really looks like a scene out of a zombie movie or some end of the world flick featuring Tom Cruise. It looks like an island, just floating out there in the middle of all the water with the city in the background.
I don't think people also realize how much water that is and the area it's covering, that is insane. I read it was only the 18th "rainout" in Dodgers history which is pretty wild in itself, but this is obviously a whole other animal. Floating stadium in the middle of a parking lot is a wild look. Think it was safe to say they made a good call to move the games from Sunday. The Dodgers are in Cleveland this week to take on the Guards and that's a good thing, who knows if this would be playable. Hope everyone stays safe.
