Forget Derek Carr And Jamaal Williams, The Saints Are Screwed After Losing The Biggest Free Agency Battle With Aileen Hnatiuk Joining The Bucs
Think it's pretty clear the NFC South is wide open this year. I mean there's no Tom Brady. The Bucs have Kyle Trask and Baker Mayfield battling for the starting spot. The Falcons have Desmond Ridder. The Saints bring in Derek Carr and are probably the favorites. The Panthers, well, they are in the division too. Some may say it's a bad division, but that's not the point of this blog.
The Saints officially lost the biggest free agency battle. You don't just recover from losing an Aileen Hnatiuk. You don't recover from losing someone who sends your fanbase into a tizzy with a post:
I know what you're probably thinking. Hey Reags, you goddamn idiot, reporters don't win games. I say look at the Orioles and Kevin Brown situation. It's not a coincidence they lost a couple games while he was suspended because the Angelos family fucking sucks. It's about keeping the good times rolling. It's about keeping the attention off of all the bad things within a franchise.
You didn't just lose the free agency battle. You lost to a division rival! That's brutal and I say that as someone who saw Mussina, Brian Roberts, Andrew Miller and Britton all play for the Yankees. I had to watch Rick Pitino win vacate a national championship for Louisville. My point being it sucks to see one of your own go to a rival. Anyways, this is my NFC South blog. Tampa might just have to be the favorite again.
