Fun Stat Monday - DeAndre Hopkins Was Better Than The Entire Tennessee Titans 2022 Wide Receivers In Fantasy Football

Quick fun stat for your Monday now that DeAndre Hopkins is officially a Tennessee Titan. I think we all sorta remember how putrid this team's offense was last year. Remember the game against the Chiefs when no wide receiver even caught a pass? This sorry squad ranked second to last in wide receiver touchdowns in 2022 with six to outduel the Steelers five, and were just 17 receiving yards more than the league's dead last Ravens.

Check that as "could use improvements" on the ole report card.

But that's not the stat. Here's the stat. To celebrate their new savior, I took the fantasy points scored by DeAndre Hopkins in the weeks he played (Weeks 7-16) vs the single best receiver of each week from either the Titans, Ravens, or - what the hell - Chicago Bears to see which side scored more. Think of it as DHop vs a three-team fantasy football best ball where the single best performance was taken each week between these three suck fest offenses.

Results:

DeAndre Hopkins: 152 PPR points

Titans/Ravens/Bears: 148 PPR points

Here's the official score card for each hole (week) except you'll recall that unlike in golf, points are a good thing.

Happy Monday Titan fans! You officially have some reason to hope. That's all you can really ask.
