Can't Be A Coincidence: Brandon Miller Told The World He Saw Michael Jordan Airball A Free Throw, Now The Hornets Are 'Expected' To Draft Scoot Henderson
Let's go back to yesterday. No, not when Brandon Miller said Paul George was the greatest basketball player of all time, but when he had to have purposely sabotaged his chances with the Hornets:
A day later Shams puts out that tweet that the Hornets are expected to draft Scoot Henderson. Not a coincidence, I refuse to believe it. MJ still has influence here:
We're still talking about Michael Jordan here. There might not be a bigger grudge guy in the world than Michael Jordan. There might not be someone who takes shit more personally than MJ. Why would you ever admit this, unless you don't want to play for the Hornets. I also know that shit is getting a bit crazy with this pick. Earlier this morning on Barstool Sportsbook, Scoot was +350 to be the 3rd pick, now he's +230 and Brandon Miller is -400 to be the 3rd pick. Pretty similar to the whole Jabari Smith/Paolo situation a year ago.
Hell, the Hornets could still change their mind back to Brandon Miller. It's why I say 'expected' with the quotation marks. Who cares that Scoot is probably the better prospect? It's MJ we're talking about here. He's not exactly the best at judging talent based on his draft picks. I do know that if you mock him in the slightest he will make your life hell. For now it might be costing Brandon Miller the No. 2 spot.
Welcome to Draft day where there are smokescreens everywhere.
