The Oakland Athletics Threw Up Billboards In Las Vegas Outside Of The Golden Knights Arena Congratulating Them On Their Stanley Cup Win
Weird move? This seems like a weird move. Kind of like a suck up move if we're being honest. The A's aren't even officially in the city yet and they're already kind of trying to move in. It's the kid transferring to your college next semester coming to the parties and trying to get lunch in the dining hall, not so fast! They're still playing ball in Oakland! Hell they've won like 4 times as many games in the last week as they have all year, maybe focus on that!
I'd love to see what the Golden Knights think about this too. Like "yeah, thanks guys." Probably didn't even register with them. And if I'm an Oakland A's fan, I'm even more pissed than I was before. This is just rolling the body around in dirt and spitting on it. Just 0 regard for the fans that they are abandoning. They are the new kid in school that brings cookies or cupcakes to try and make friends right off the bat. Gonna need more than this boys.
I'd imagine the Athletics front office okay'd this and paid for it.....why use money on billboards and not your team? I don't think the owner of the A's is worried about the on the field product, but worried about being liked by the new neighborhood they're moving into. What a strange move.
