Duke's MJ Metz Hit Three Home Runs In An NCAA Tournament Game Nine Days After Tearing His ACL
MJ Metz hit three home runs in Duke's NCAA Tournament-opening win over UNC Wilmington, which would be a huge game for any player in the country. He also did so nine days removed from tearing his ACL.
Metz suffered the knee injury in the Blue Devils' ACC Tournament loss to NC State on May 23 and was back playing in Duke's Regional opener just over a week later. He also came to Duke after starting his career at Division III Trinity College. This guy is grit personified. All-time Baseball Guy.
Next time you don't want to get out of bed to go to work, just remember that MJ is playing the most important baseball games of the season on one ACL and still hitting moonshots.
