Here's Everything You Need To Know Heading Into The First Round Of The NCAA Lacrosse Tournament

We're down to just the final 15 games of the 2023 college lacrosse season, and we have 8 of them on deck for this weekend.

It always surprises me when we get to this point of the year. Because somehow it feels like the college lacrosse season takes forever while also simultaneously feeling like it just started yesterday. The unstoppable march of time, man. It's a crazy thing.

But anyhoo...the tournament gets going this Saturday and we have you covered on everything you need to know heading into each matchup. I'll be totally honest here--it feels like it's about to be a real chalky tournament. I know those sound like famous last words, but I don't see a ton of upsets going down in this one. Which, I suppose, is the reason why they actually play the game and don't just listen to podcasters. But I really wouldn't be upset if this tournament went chalk straight down the line, because I think that gives us the most intriguing Final Four with Duke, Virginia, Notre Dame and Maryland.

So I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it all shakes out, starting on Saturday at noon. Sidenote: All of these games will be on ESPNU from noon-9pm both Saturday and Sunday. So now you know what your weekend plans are.
