The Highlight Of Scott Satterfield Leaving For UC Is This Former Louisville WR Saying He Made All The Players Tweet About How Good He Treated Them
This is by far the best part whenever a coach leaves. We get stories from current/former players. This? This is a hilarious one and might sum up the Scott Satterfield era at Louisville as best as anything. In case you don't remember his name was floated around when South Carolina had a job opening. What I don't remember is anything like this though. Luckily Dez Fitzpatrick - a former receiver and 4th round pick - gave us this story.
If that's not enough former Louisville/current Ole Miss receiver says this:
Yikes. Well not really. Yikes if you are one of the Louisville fans in the world. Me personally? I never wanted him to leave. Kentucky dominated his ass and it was nice getting a guaranteed win over your rival every year. I'm gonna miss that. Needless to say Satterfield leaving for Cincinnati caught quite literally everyone by surprise.
Even better? Cincinnati plays Louisville in the Fenway Bowl and they have to share a sideline:
Just let him be all-time coach. See how both teams react. It's the Fenway Bowl, not like it's all that important or anything.
Again, coaches leaving and stories coming out isn't insane. It happens quite a bit. There's always at least a couple people pissed that a coach is leaving. However, Louisville is pretty happy to get Satterfield out of there. I haven't seen one fan get upset. That said, Satterfield, take a lesson from Deion or another coach. You can't tell people you're leaving via FaceTime:
Gonna need former players to keep on speaking up. It's truly the gift that keeps on giving.
