Rapper “Takeoff”, Member Of Famed Group “Migos”, Was Shot And Killed In Houston Overnight
TMZ - Takeoff, one-third of Migos, is dead after an early morning shooting in Houston ... TMZ Hip Hop has confirmed.
Law enforcement sources, and multiple witnesses, tell us the fatal incident went down shortly after 2:30 AM ... that's when cops got the call for a man shot at a bowling alley called 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston.
We're told Takeoff and Quavo were there playing dice when an altercation broke out and that's when someone opened fire, shooting Takeoff ... either in the head or near his head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
There's not a lot out that's confirmed right now, but after seeing the pictures in that TMZ post (warning, graphic) it's pretty certain Takeoff is dead. Quavo was rumored to be shot, and not critical, but there's no confirmed reports of that anywhere I've seen.
Regardless, a sad scene out of Houston overnight.
Takeoff, whose real name was Kirsnik Ball, was the nephew of Quavo, and, was the youngest member of Migos. The third member, Offset, was his cousin.
The three natives of Atlanta formed the group Migos and burst onto the scene in 2012 with the hit "Versace".
Since then, they've been one of the biggest names in hip hop.
After the three of them recently had a falling out, Quavo and Takeoff had released a project as the duo, "Unc & Phew." They had just released their latest music video, "Messy," on Monday.
R.I.P.
p.s. - never forget, arguably Caleb's funniest interview moment of all time (and that's saying a lot). With Migos on the Madden red carpet.
