Von Miller Is Flabbergasted That Kenny Pickett Thinks The Steelers Are Underdogs Because 'No One Looks At The Spread'
Here's the quote from Pickett
What a sequence here from Von Miller. Saying nobody looks at spreads is the craziest statement of all time. The only time that's true is when people try to say an upset happens when a ranked college basketball/football team loses to an unranked team despite the unranked team being favored. Not to mention the line is 14! EVERYONE thinks the Steelers are a dog, they aren't that good and the Bills are, well, the favorites to win the Super Bowl.
I understand what Von might be trying to say. It's the NFL. It's pros vs pros, every team loses. But come on. The Steelers are clear dogs here. I can't believe I'm defending the Steelers/Pickett here, but it's true. They should lose to the Bills. If you ask a hundred casual fans who wins the game, the Bills are getting like 95 people saying yes. The only other 5 will just hear the name Steelers and assume they are good.
That said, I am curious to see how the Bills play here. They came back to get the win against Baltimore after the crazy loss to the Dolphins. Something still doesn't seem completely right with Buffalo - mostly due to injuries. But this is a good litmus test to trick my mind about the Bills. Great teams go out and should take care of business here, especially at home.
Nobody looks at spreads. What a line.
