Jerry Seinfeld Blamed All The Mets Struggles Of The Last Week On Timmy Trumpet Playing In Edwin Diaz Live Against The Dodgers

I'm just gonna come out and say that Jerry Seinfeld not being a fan of Timmy Tumpets playing out Edwin Diaz out during a regular season isn't exactly a surprise. My source is pretty much everything we know about Jerry the person, Jerry the character from Seinfeld based on himself, and Jerry the caller that used to schmooze about the Mets with Steve Somers during the overnight shift. Not to mention Jerry that reacted to a hug offer from Ke$ha like she was covered in bees.

Jerry strikes me as a much more of an old school baseball fan that maybe doesn't get as excited about the hottest music trends. I can see Jerry eating a hot dog at a baseball game, talking about how he only eats hot dogs at baseball games, asking what the deal is with the ingredients of hot dogs, singing "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" with the crowd, then going home to whatever comically ridiculous house that Seinfeld money bought him. I don't think watching a tiny Australian playing the trumpet, shaking his ass, and losing his goddamn mind as the Mets nuclear weapon enters the game is Jerry's idea of a good time at the old ballgame, no matter how incredible it may be.

Of course Jerry has also had his brain poisoned by the Wilpons like millions of other Mets fans, which leads to talk of mojo and curses and idiotic stuff like the entire world being against the Mets. So I'm not going to get too upset for him yelling at the clouds like a ton of other Mets fans were before the Amazins extinguished the Pirates in a doubleheader.

In fact, I can't wait to see what cosmic entity we blame for the next three game losing streak, if there is one! However considering the Mets beat the Dodgers the game where that electric moment happened as well as the very next night, I am not going to blame Timmy Trumpet for the offense taking its monthly nap against the Nats.

Obligatory shirt plug:

Obligatory shout out to the Baha Men who took an unwarranted ricochet shot in all this since my kids heard "Who Let The Dogs Out" at a minor league game this summer and were obsessed with the song for weeks to the point we had to unplug Alexa so they stopped playing it nonstop.

We talk more about all this Seinfeld mumbo jumbo, the current state of Mets fans' brains, and how the Amazins somehow saved their season for the 51st time this year on today's We Gotta Believe, which is live now.
