Breaking News with Jersey Jerry
Last Friday afternoon I was scrolling through twitter and the headline "New York Penn Station is shut down" caught my eye. I started to read multiple articles explaining the reasoning behind every single train either delayed or cancelled. This wasn't the first time I've seen trains either delayed or cancelled but it was the first time I was in New York when this happened. Ive always wanted to do man on the street content at barstool but I didn't know exactly how or what it would look like. An idea popped into my head and decided to run with it. It was around 6pm on Friday and not too many people where here besides the interns and people who couldn't get home due to the cancellations or delays (me) being one of them. I put one of big cats suits on, grabbed two interns and printed out some release forms. I didn't know what to expect but I said the hell with it I think this could turn out to be a really cool video. When I walked inside New York Penn I was honestly really nervous. Hundreds and Hundreds of people sat there just waiting and really confused as to what was going on. I grabbed the mic and proceeded to interview people telling them I was with "Barstool News". I didn't want to go there and not get any interviews so I thought telling them we were the news would make them more interested in participating in the interview. It worked like a charm, most people probably thought they would be on tv but instead they made barstool twitter and instagram. I thought the video turned out pretty good. I'm not the best writer or blogger but I thought I should share this with you guys. Thanks for taking the time out to read this.
