Magic Johnson Is Back To Giving The Perfect Offseason Advice To Help Save Your Favorite Team From Sucking Next Year

I know Magic Johnson's "schtick" on Twitter isn't new, but man there's just something about it that will always be funny to me. Even when we all learned that most of them are just him telling someone else what to tweet, I'm choosing to ignore that reality and just pretend that some of these are actually Magic

[Source] - Rob Lowe: Do you know Pardon My Take? I did (their podcast). Those guys are huge fans of yours as you know, and I said look, ‘you’re the best sports podcast, I’m going to be interviewing Magic, he’s going to be one of my first guests, do you have any questions, do you have any thoughts?’ And they’re like ‘you have to ask him, does he write his own tweets?’ And I was like what? Of all the things? Of all the things that you could ask one of the greatest men, players, but that’s what they wanted to ask, so here I am, I’m asking: Why are they obsessed with your tweets?

Magic Johnson: I don’t know. No, I have somebody write them out. I tell them what I want to say and they write them.

I bring this up because now that Magic has all this time on his hands, he has taken it upon himself to give some offseason directions to some franchises that have some tough decisions to make. I'll let Magic explain

I dare you, spot the lie. Tell me where Magic isn't telling you exactly what has to happen this offseason? The Nets were swept and need to address their perimeter defense in the worst way. The Jazz lost in the first round (again) and are now having conversations around trading Rudy Gobert. The Hawks underachieved after everyone was sucking their dick after their ECF run and they are loaded with a million wings they can't all pay/play. The Bulls one is a little tough because I think their season result was impacted more by injuries than anything else. You may be wondering why the Lakers weren't mentioned in that first tweet, but I'll remind you it's because they missed the playoffs. Didn't even make the Play In Tournament. How embarrassing.

Once you move to the second tweet, you obviously cannot deny that the Lakers and Knicks are two large market teams. Try arguing against that. You also cannot deny that they both stink out loud and need to improve. Again, both of these teams were in the lottery this year. I know the internet and Twitter specifically is filled with controversial takes. People throw shit out here just to get a reaction, but I think that second Magic tweet might be one of the only ones in existence that absolutely everyone agrees with. Who could argue that either of those teams doesn't have to get better? Did Magic do it again or did Magic do it again?

I don't know why I still find these types of tweets so funny, but I can't help it. Even though we're now years into these types of tweets and we even know it might not always be Magic, my brain just refuses to acknowledge that stuff. It's why I love that he left the Lakers just so he could get back to tweeting. I'm starting to think maybe the Lakers never took his advice because all I see on Twitter is nothing but A+ ideas.

This now has me wondering what else Magic is going to cook up as these playoffs continue. I need to know who needs to play better or their season will end. Give us all the hard hitting analysis you cannot get anywhere else other than Magic's Twitter feed. Especially when it's nothing but facts.
