RUMOR: White Sox Dave Was Paid Off By Dreamworks To Select Shrek In The Dogwalk Draft

White Sox Dave has been eating a lot of flack for his performance on the last dogwalk draft and rightfully so. They did a draft of the best 2000s comedies, and he chose the animated family movie SHREK with the 5th overall pick. In case you were wondering if there was any confusion as to the vibe of comedies they were going for, there wasn't. Dave had the 5th pick and Superbad, the Hangover, Old School and Wedding Crashers all went before he chose. And look, Shrek is a good movie. Nobody is denying that! But it sticks out like a sore thumb against the rest of the movies chosen.

People think that he picked Shrek because it was just the WSD thing to do. HOWEVER, I have an alternate theory. Let me present a timeline to you.

FEBRURARY 25th: WSD buys a house

March 11th(14 days later): The draft takes place. White Sox Dave martyrs himself on the hill(or swamp) for Shrek, defending it as one of the best comedies of the 2000s.

March 14th: Shrek reaches #2 on the Netflix charts

March 15th: The trailer for the first Shrek movie in over a decade is released

Is white sox dave in the pocket of Dreamworks? Was his mortgage paid off by Dreamworks in return for a corrupted first round selection in the Dog Walk draft? I don't know the answer for sure, but I think it is time for an inquest by Commissioner Red ed.
