We Have Carson Wentz Now

I don't know what to say. Carson Wentz on the Eagles carved us up. He took full advantage of Washington's "don't cover anyone" defense. I thought he was going to be in Philly for 15 years and give me nightmares every season, but it didn't work out for him in Philly.

People are shitting all over this and I don't get why- last year in Indy he didn't set the world on fire and he had some classic QB blunders, but the numbers on paper don't look terrible- 27 TDs, 7 INTs, and completed 62% of passes. Spin zone: In most years, we would DIE for our QB to have those types of stats!

The annoying part is we struck out on Russ, never had a chance with Rodgers, and have settled for Wentz. Again though, I don't think he's nearly as bad as people are reacting. It's not like we just brought in Blaine Gabbert. It's not like we're riding with Garrett Gilbert. Wentz is a proven NFL quarterback and AT WORST is a nice stop-gap.

So no, I will not poo-poo this trade. I think Wentz is getting it way worse than he deserves, and I will give him every chance to prove why he was the 2nd overall pick in 2016. Let the Wentzaissance begin!

PS: Honestly, just trying to spin zone this. We settle for average. It's who this team is. So I have no choice but to root for Wentz. No other option. This is life as a Washington Football Commanders fan.
