Alright, let's get on with it motherfuckers. The last two words in that quote are going to spawn no less than 1,000 different articles and a million different internet takes. But as the face of the Daniel Jones Hype Group, I am going to look at the positives in this.
My Little Lamb is officially QB1 of the New York Football Giants as of right this second according to the big swinging dick at the top of the org chart. Does that mean it will change after free agency, the draft, or training camp?
However as of the writing of this blog he is the Giants starting quarterback, even if the only people below him on the depth chart are Davis Webb and Brian Lewerke. John Mara has already apologized for doing "everything possible to screw this kid up" and it looks like there is a chance Daniel may have a general manager, offensive play caller, and if there is a fucking God even an offensive line that isn't complete trash. What a novel concept for a young, developing quarterback!
Plus let's be honest, even if Joe Schoen said Daniel Jones was the starting quarterback without the biggest qualifier immediately following, it wouldn't mean shit in a world where this was tweeted three years ago.
So now we do what we have always done, which is continue to ride the Danwagon and pray to the Football Gods that the Giants can actually see enough of their starting quarterback with his first functional franchise to make a long term decision on him after they inevitably decline his fifth year option, which is 100000% coming soon.
