Taylor Sheridan Announces That Yellowstone Is Getting A 5th Season, 1883 Is Getting A 2nd Season, And He's Working On A Sequel Prequel Called 1932
(whiskeyriff)--“The incredible storytelling and stellar performances behind 1883 have fueled phenomenal new records for Paramount+.
Promoting the series through linear sampling on the Paramount Network during their latest record-breaking season of Yellowstone further enabled us to introduce Sheridan’s loyal audience to this fantastic new series.
We look forward to bringing fans even more of the Duttons’ origin story.”
Taylor Sheridan is getting a MAJOR bag, clearly. Currently running and writing like 5 different shows on Paramount. I can't tell if this is an instance of "striking while the iron is hot" or "pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered", but I am willing to find out. I love Taylor Sheridan and I have mostly loved the Yellowstone series and even though I am an episode behind on 1883, I can say that I am hooked on that show as well. I thought season 4 of Yellowstone took a step back from the previous three and gave us storylines that I didn't give one single fuck about. I need less Jimmy and more John, Rip, Kayce, and Beth. Give me more instances of Kayce doing his Navy Seal shit against militia people and less Jimmy breaking his back and falling in love with any girl that gives him an ounce of attention. I don't care. Not sure if extending season 5 to fifteen episodes is going to make the show stronger or weaker, but I am not going to not watch either way so Paramount has my attention and my money. I have the subscription service for one show and one show only. Maybe that is because they sent me the bag
If anyone from Paramount is reading this, I am just about out of that soap you sent me that smells like Tim McGraw. Just saying.
My biggest complaint is when the show is schedule to air though. Comes out in the Fall. That just doesn't work as well for me because of Sunday night football. Would be a lot cooler if they released it now when sports are dead. Please work on that in addition to working on the 5 new shows about the American West
