Brendan Lemieux Gets 5 Game Suspension For Chomping On Brady Tkachuk

I thought Brendan Lemieux was going to get closer to 10 games given that...he bit one his peers...twice. Especially given all of the COVID concerns in the league these days. But apparently, the league used prior biting instances as precedent and only gave him a five-game suspension. I guess if the league doesn't see the biting plain as day, they won't throw the book at you even if there are teeth marks and blood on the other guy's mitts. Or the bitten player is wearing a glove.

Regardless, it should go without saying that this shit has no place in the NHL. But I'm all for mutigenerational rivalries...
