Not Rick Ross, not Drake, not any of the massive musical artists that regularly stop by…The Island Boys. Two goobers who the internet essentially played a joke on and made go viral. I'd have thrown a shoe. That said, it was wildly satisfying see them fail. TikTokers in general have lived in a fantasy world where you don't need talent to become famous. You need to either have a schtick or if you're a guy, be a twink. Sure there are people like Brianna Chickenfry who are undeniably talented and have built a community of people who relate to them, but the vast majority of TikTok success has nothing to do with anything other than figuring out an algorithm. Which is why watching the Island Boys get laughed at was so great. Will it change anything? Of course not, they probably thought they crushed but it was still fantastic to see.
