Ryan Gosling And Margot Robbie Will Be Playing Barbie And Ken In The Best Casting Job Of All Time

This film is shaping up to be plastic fantastic.

Ryan Gosling is in final negotiations to play Ken in the forthcoming “Barbie” film, sources have told Deadline.

The “Notebook” hunk, 40, would be getting dolled up to play the iconic Mattel character opposite Margot Robbie, 31, who has signed on to play the leading lady in the live-action Warner Bros. movie.

Gosling has not spoken publicly about the negotiations, but he purportedly passed on the role initially, citing his busy schedule. However, studio execs believed Gosling was the “only choice” to play Ken, according to Deadline, and persistently pursued him.

Now, Gosling is reportedly ready to sign on the dotted line, with filming scheduled to get underway at the beginning of next year.

Best casting of all time? Yes. It's almost so good that I hesitate to write this blog until I see official confirmation from Ryan Gosling's team, because there is no one else who can play Ken. If Ryan isn't Ken, the movie is cancelled. His looks, his voice, the way he moves...Ryan Gosling is a God amongst Men. And Margot? When she was cast as Naomi in Wolf of Wall Street, I knew that she was automatically the hottest girl in the world. She is as close to perfection as you can get. Or, should I say, she's a human being who was born fitting the completely unrealistic beauty standard that have been set by Barbie herself. Imagine the kind of confidence you get from landing a role like that? "Yea, I'm fucking BARBIE."

As I write this blog, worry starts to set in…Margot is hot, but we're underestimating the power Ryan Gosling holds over us when he's acting like "the perfect man." We all threw our bras and panties at the silver screen when he was the #1 Expert Fuckboy in Crazy, Stupid, Love! We know it STILL ISN'T OVER from The Notebook! Now he's going to be engineered as the perfect husband to the hottest woman in the world?

I'm equally ecstatic and terrified for this movie. I just hope we have enough time to prepare mentally, and for the movie theaters across the world to install drains in their floors. It's gonna be a wet one.
