I Am Personally Offended That Jason Garrett Is Still The Offensive Coordinator Of The New York Giants
Look man, I know the Giants aren't going to win the Super Bowl or anything this year. But can I just kinda enjoy my Sundays by not having someone in charge of 1/3 of the team completely fucking everything up? The defense did the offense no favors in the Broncos game and special teams came up short in a way that it never should yesterday considering the head coach was a special teams coach.
But the root of this team's problems right now is the offense. I've had enough of Daniel Jones, Kenny Golladay, and even Saquon Barkley not being used in the way that plays to their strengths. If you thought the Giants losing all three games in the easiest part of their schedule was bad, just wait and see what they look like now that they lost the leader of their offensive line and defense over the last two weeks.
This was that one deep ball:
The fact no action of any kind has been taken after that loss yesterday boggles my mind, which has been boggled by its sports teams more times than I can count. I am so sick of John Mara apologizing after the season and promising to make changes after it's too late, which is why he deserved every single one of these deafening boos.
To be clear, I'm not wishing that Garrett gets fired during these tough times. But he cannot continue to call offensive plays as he cashes checks from the New York Football Giants. Maybe he can be a spotter in the weight room, greet people in the lobby, or clap from the stands in practice to help cheer the team on. But he simply cannot be in charge of choosing which plays are run on offense anymore. It can't be done. It shan't be done! Because this is where we are as a franchise right now and it's fucking embarrassing.
The utter lack of action after yesterday's embarrassment is truly shocking and if we are being honest offensive. I know people are calling for the heads of Dave Gettleman as well, which I am fine with happening at some point considering stats like this:
But at this rate, I just need to see changes every week on the field just so I have something to maybe enjoy for three hours and getting a new offensive coordinator would do exactly that, even if that coordinator ends up being Freddie fucking Kitchens like it was when Garrett missed the Browns game with covid last year (who to be clear will be Interim Freddie Kitchens that everyone loved, not the guy who got fired after one season in Cleveland).
Do something @Giants. Please.
