Jalen Suggs Announces He's Leaving Gonzaga And Immediately Starts To Auction Off His Final Four Buzzer Beater As A 1-of-1 NFT

There are smart decisions, no-brainers and then there's this. This is a few hundred thousand decision. I'm not even talking about Jalen Suggs declaring for the NBA Draft. That's a potential hundred million dollar decision. I'm talking about turning this into a 1-of-1 NFT:

The play of the NCAA Tournament. The play that made him a name that even the most casual basketball fan now knows his name. The play that kept Gonzaga's undefeated season alive heading into the NCAA title game. It's an iconic shot that will always be played in March now. Jalen Suggs is going to make so much money off of this (and auctioning his shoes off).

This is the future though. We're seeing NFT's pop up across all walks of entertainment, sports, etc. Shit, even Tommy Smokes is in the game. I've always wondered what would bring Tommy Smokes and Jalen Suggs together and apparently it's getting rich off NFT's.

Honestly, this is something that is going to be interesting once these athletes can make money on name, image and likeness. There is absolutely no difference of who Jalen Suggs is from the moment this ball went through the hoop to this afternoon besides he can't be punished by the NCAA right now. He can make money using himself. That's it. If and when NIL becomes a thing, we're going to likely see these NFT's pop up more and more - assuming there's not a loophole for the NCAA to ban these. I wouldn't rule out that snake Mark Emmert putting in some loophole for this, but that's not here nor there right now. Luka Garza sold off a bunch of NFT's when he decided to go pro and now Suggs is doing the 1-of-1 deal here. I'll be curious to see how much this is worth. Remember that someone came out and said if NIL was a thing based on potential endorsements and something like this, the shot could make Suggs six figures.

He's going to make a ton of money off of this one thing before he makes a shit ton of money. Not a bad gig when you're fucking awesome at something like he is at basketball. And sure you can watch this Jalen Suggs shot anywhere, but this is NFT is the only thing in the world that will have the artwork, graphics, etc with it that you'll 'own.' That's the difference. Well, that and his shoes. I always wondered what people do with athletes shoes. I mean I know they put them in a glass case and what not, but what sort of cleaning are we dealing with here when they arrive?

Anyways the future is here. We're going to see this with all these top players announcing they are going pro.
