I Can't Believe I Want The Redskins To Sign Noted Scumbag Junior Galette

PFT - According to Albert Breer of the NFL Network, the Redskins are set to host former New Orleans Saints defensive end/linebacker Junior Galette for a visit on Thursday. Galette was released by the Saints last week after video surfaced of him twice hitting a woman. He passed his physical with New Orleans before being released. Galette will meet with the Redskins at their training camp home in Richmond, Va. and take a physical with the team. Galette racked up 22 sacks with New Orleans over the last two seasons.

Junior Galette is not a good person. I know this to be a fact. He’s a scumbag. But I’m so far passed holding athletes to any sort of standard. And I wish more people would take this point of view with me. I don’t give a fuck about who is on the football team. They are millionaires. I don’t look up to 98% of them in any sort of way besides as guys on the team I want to win. When they are on my team I cheer for them, when they are gone I don’t. That’s the extent of how I feel about them as football players. So will Junior Galette make the Redskins a better football team? Absolutely yes. If he keeps his stupid mouth shut, and that’s a big if, he will bring 22 sacks over the last 2 seasons to the Skins. The second he fucks up though they cut him and we are no worse for the wear. Every single team out there employs scumbags. Domestic violence, DUIs, deflated footballs, it happens across the league. And it’s fucking awful. The sooner we stop acting like football players are heroes and just accept they are just pieces to a puzzle on a 53 man roster the better. (Of course this doesn’t apply to everyone, but for guys like Junior Galette. And who knows, maybe a tiger can change his stripes.)
