Aaron Nola's Much Anticipated Debut Ends In Typical Phillies Fashion...A 1-0 Loss With The AL Pitcher Hitting A HR
Despite an AL pitcher who maybe gets 6 AB’s a season declaring Jenga with a solo shot, Aaron Nola did a pretty damn good job in his major league debut. 6 IP, 6K, 5 H, 1 BB, 1 ER. What more do you people want? Anytime you can hold a team to 1 run you deserve to win, except when you’re the Phillies whose bats might as well be toothpicks doused in sulfuric acid (remember when Roy Halladay DAZZLED in game 5 of the 2011 Div playoffs vs. the Cardinals but still lost 1-0? Shoot me so I don’t anymore.). Regardless, dozens of fans enjoyed Aaron Nola’s rookie performance tonight. Can’t wait to see how the Phillies squander this kid’s bright future.
I hate this team.
PS – Really? You bastards of an organization better not fuck this up again.
