YES: Dez Bryant Is Threatening To Miss Training Camp And Games If He's Not Given A New Deal

PFT – The Cowboys and wide receiver Dez Bryant face a July 15 deadline to work out a multi-year contract extension and Bryant is reportedly doing what he can to turn up the heat on the team with Wednesday fast approaching. Ed Werder of ESPN reports that Bryant called Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones with an ultimatum about contract talks. Per Werder, Bryant told Jones that he will skip training camp if he isn’t signed to a deal other than the franchise tag by the deadline. Bryant also reportedly said that his absence from the team will extend to “real games” when the season gets underway in September.

I love the thought of this man with the genetics and maturity of a Thoroughbred sitting out some games, especially since the Cowboys face off against the Eagles in Week 2. However, it’ll never happen. Why? Because Jerry Jones is a smug piece of rich dick, that’s why. His ego has its own orbit, and after letting Demarco Murray walk away there’s no shot in hell he’s going to allow his boy (and it wouldn’t shock me if Jer calls Dez that to his face) to miss any time. None.

Remember that tape of Dez Bryant in a Wal-Mart parking lot that Jerry Jones used his power and influence in Arkansas to make “disappear” apparently never existed? That was a fun couple weeks, even if the actual footage was shot last season at the Linc:

I actually would have preferred if Dez Bryant physically dragged Bradley Fletcher like a cavewoman through a Wal-Mart parking lot before impregnating him. It would have been a lot better for everyone involved, including Fletcher. Dez legit should have gotten 10-20 for ruining his life after this game.
