First Barstool At The Ballpark In The Books...Grab Tickets Now For Later This Summer
So yesterday was our first official Barstool at the Ballpark at Citi Field. And minus the absolutely putrid blown save loss, it was a rousing success. The unlimited beer deal went so much better than I anticipated. I’ll be honest, heading into the day, I was kind of concerned how that was gonna go. Usually unlimited beer situations means enormous lines. I half expected Citi Field to have some sort of rules in place said you could only get like 5 or something. Nope. It was legit unlimited. Right at 3pm when the deal started there was a bit of a line to initially get your wrist bands, but after that it was smooth sailing. The beer was flowing.
The crowd was great, weather was awesome. Met a lot of good Stoolies and had a great time. Again, only thing that sucked was the insanely bad loss. For those of you interested in the KFC Mush, it was the first time the Mets had lost a game in that manner is almost 15 years. Nice!
But anyway like I said, yesterday wasnt even about that. It was just about booze and food and soaking in a ball game in the summer.

Numbah One at the park with us
Bros with the free David Wright jersey Citi Field was giving away yesterday. No joke it was sponsored by the Hospital For Special Surgery. You cant script that
Couple of Fordham girls who were first in line for the beer. Making me proud
McFaddens postgame laughing about how much the Mets choked that one away
Photographical evidence that we had a black dude in our section
Chick in the middle is Duncan’s brother’s owner. She named him Kevin after Kevin McCallister. Saw a lot of 7 Line gear all day long, of course, and finally got to meet the founder Darren over at their tailgate. Really great guy, gonna try to collaborate with him and the 7 line on some game watches and stuff like that.
This dude and his crew all had deGrom wigs on all game. In 90 degree sun that takes commitment
Vanilla Ice made an appearance
Hung with these guys up on the Promenade all game. Great people.
How about this dude in a JOHN BUCK shirsey. The fact that this was ever manufactured, let alone purchased, simply boggles the mind
Bodies on the LIRR after the game.
More Francesa
The infamous @MickGruffster. Representing the Braves in enemy territory. I was about to smack him for being a Braves fan but then he told me who he was so we were cool. His boy though seemed to get pretty pissed off every time I was cracking on the Braves. Got awkward.
And finally, because you’d knew there’d be at least one
Honestly very surprised there wasnt more. They had the stretcher ready for us:
But, upset city, it wasnt necessary. Our next outing is July 11. That one is already sold out. August 28 is our game against the Red Sox. If I had to guess I’d say there’s like 20 tickets left, so act now. Pricier since its a premier game but if you have like 6 or 7 beers you make your money back. October 4th is the last home Saturday of the season, plenty of seats still available. And very soon we’ll be adding September 18th against the Yankees. Unfortunately we couldnt do the unlimited beer package for that, but you will get a ticket, 2 free beers and a bucket of wings and a Subway Series game for just 80 bucks.
