Coach Cal's Genius Strikes Again!! The NBA Bubble Turning Into A Gigantic Recruiting Pitch For UK Is Already Landing Them 5-Star Commitments

[Athletic] - “I would be lying if I said it did not influence the decision,” his father, Kenny, told The Athletic after Skyy announced his decision on Thursday. “It was an amazing display of basketball by those Kentucky guys, and that definitely played a part. But not just the ones who were in the bubble. All season long, if you look at the UK players in the league, especially the guards, all of them were doing well. The big men too. All the UK players, man. It’s like everybody does well in the NBA. Look, it’s pretty clear at this point: If you’re a kid with that dream, you really can’t go wrong going to Kentucky.”

Oh something you just absolutely love to see. Skyy Clark, currently in the Class of 2022, is one of the best players in the class. No-brainer that he chose Kentucky over UNC, Memphis and UCLA. Absolutely no-brainer in my completely professional, unbiased view. Better fans, better program, better coach, prettier fans. What's not to love? Oh, it doesn't hurt that the NBA Bubble turned into nothing but a gigantic recruiting pitch for Kentucky. Shit, you even had Spo talking about it.

Arguably the best coach in the NBA talking about how they want guys from Kentucky SPECIFICALLY because they go to Kentucky to get better. That sound? Yeah, that's a little premature ejaculation coming from this side here. Barely need Cal to recruit when you have NBA head coaches doing it for him. And not even a month later it paid off.

Introducing Skyy Clark

Compared to Jamal Murray, Tyler Ulis and even I've seen a little Isiah Briscoe. Sign me the fuck up. Pretty good couple days for Kentucky. Olivier Sarr and Jacob Toppin get waivers to be eligible immediately. Skyy Clark commits. Goddamn it's a good day to be us.
