Couple Of Bros Steal Official Golf Cart From Quail Hollow, Drive It 5 Miles To Bar, Park It On The Patio And Get Hammered

CHARLOTTE — Co-owner of Selwyn Avenue Pub in South Charlotte, Jim Foster, said he got a surprising call over the weekend from one of his bartenders.

“He said, ‘You’ll never believe what somebody left, its a golf cart!”

The story began to make social media rounds Tuesday, posted by totalfratmove.com

“Its a bit of a mystery,” said Foster, “We don’t have any hard evidence on it, we just had to work from the golf cart backwards and say, ‘Jeez, I wonder how that golf cart got here’.”

On the front you can see the Quail Hollow logo which hosted the Wells Fargo Championship this past weekend.

“So we’re all presuming that it was driven from the tournament because its one of their carts,” said Foster.

Taking a straight shot from Glen Eagle’s Road, up Park Road, its five miles to Selwyn Avenue Pub, roughly 10 minutes in a car.

“I guess in a way we feel complimented that somebody wanted to get here that badly,” said Foster.

It was parked inside the bar, on this spot, on the patio.

“Literally right up to the bar, so it was actually quite an accomplishment if you think about it,” said Foster.

Quail Hollow management said they had no comment on the incident.

“It was all very cordial,” said Foster, “It was no inconvenience to us we’ve had a lot of unusual things left, thats probably the most unusual but I think everybody got a good laugh out of it more than anything.”

Selwyn Avenue Pub said they have no idea who drove the cart, and they have no surveillance video of it either.

The cart was picked up by Quail Hollow staff the following day.

And people thought Rory had an impressive performance on Sunday? Shot a course record 61, hit a 370 yarder directly into the wind, won the whole thing by 7 strokes. Yeah yeah whatever, pretty good stuff but still doesn’t measure up to the two bros who stole an official golf cart from the course and drove it 5.1 miles up the road, parked it literally next to the bar on the patio and just started slamming beers. Personally that’s all I want to hear about. How did they steal it? How did nobody notice? How did they not get pulled over on their way?

I mean look at this trip!

All I know is these guys now have the best story to tell for the rest of their lives and I’m extremely jealous. And not only was it awesome, it was also the perfect crime.

Just hop in the golf cart at a big time event, and like that, poof. They’re gone.
