Reporter Asks If Lebron James Is A Good Father To Kyrie Irving

When you’re a reporter and this happens don’t you just feel absolutely mortified? Like if I’m that chick who asked this question I’m looking for new work. Self awareness is the most important trait a person can have, and after asking a grown man if his coworker/teammate is a good dad to him and the person I’m interviewing reacts like “Oh so you were asking that stupid ass question. I was right the first time!” I think I’d realize I’m a pretty fucking awful reporter. I think after Kyrie more or less laughed in my face and had to explain how he only has one Dad, I’d be like “Oh fuccck me! I’m terrible at this!” At the very least I’d impose a suspension on myself. No more questions for the rest of the postseason. Just stand there with my mic and my recorder and let the other reporters ask questions that arent completely embarrassing/unprofessional/inappropriate.

As far as Kyrie – the name of the game is making money and winning titles. Playing alongside Lebron is good for both of those. But goddam its gotta be annoying to deal with this kinda shit from the media. Like if someone ever asked me if Portnoy was a good father figure to me I’d probably spit in their face and quit Barstool just because its that outlandish to even have to answer a question like that. But like I said as long as the money is right and the success is rolling in, I guess you just gotta laugh in that reporters face and keep it moving.
