BREAKING: Chicago Has Rolled Back To Phase 3

The reinstated restrictions will go into effect at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, July 24, to give businesses time to comply.

The restrictions include:

-Bars, taverns, breweries and other places that serve alcohol to be consumed on-site will no longer be able to serve customers indoors. Establishments that do no serve food con serve customers outdoors. Restaurants that serve alcohol can continue to operate.

-The maximum party size at tables for restaurants and bars has been lowered to six people,

-There is a maximum of 10 people allowed at indoor fitness classes,

-Personal services that require facemasks to be removed, such as shaves or facials, will not be allowed,

-Residential property managers are being asked to limit guest entry to five people per-unit to avoid indoor gatherings and parties.

Hit the motherfucking music

I learned about this song on tiktok, not to brag.

Did you enjoy that like 2 week stretch where you were allowed to "enjoy" summer by casually drinking outside at your favorite establishments with a mask and a maximum of 5 of your friends? Great, well now that is over. Incredibly frustrating for me the patron who likes to spend my money exclusively on booze and food. It must be devastating for all the people who exclusively make their money by serving/selling booze and food. I don't know what the right answer is at this point. Nobody else does either. All the news about cases in Chicago recently have seemed pretty positive. Or at least trending positively. Maybe this is right move to kick covid-19 in the teeth before the fall starts with school and football and weather more conducive to spreading novel coronaviruses. I really don't know. All I know is that it sucks.

I am a homebody by nature. If sports come back I will be pretty content locked in my home with the dog on the couch and the air conditioning on full blast. I am going to miss everyone at Declans for the planned 8/1 Hawks-Oilers playoff watch party. That is officially canceled until further notice. Stay safe, save your money, wear a mask, and hopefully we can enter Fall in a stronger position.
