A Big Time Brew-Ha-Ha Involving A Million Students Went Down On The Broad Street Line
SEPTA – Officials have released new information and video from a fight involving students on the Broad Street Line. The massive after school brawl happened at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Spring Garden Station. SEPTA says not one person, even the victims, have reported the fight. Authorities only discovered the fight after later seeing surveillance footage. The video shows it was chaos on the platform as more than a dozen students went at it. There was punching, there was kicking, and one teenager was repeatedly stomped in the head. One young man even fell onto the tracks during the fight – something that could have taken a tragic turn if a train had been coming.
Spring Garden stop represent! And to think hearing some random glass shatter or a gunshot in the night would be the worst that I have to fear in this neighborhood. Now when grabbing the subway to CC or the stadiums I get to keep my head on a swivel for an all-out kerfuffle. Props to the one kid who got sauced onto the tracks to hop right back into the ring. Royal Rumble rules don’t apply underground.
Hey, SEPTA. Nobody tattled, therefore it didn’t happen. Talk about violating rule 1 of the The Code Of The Schoolyard, nerds.
