Rajon Rondo Has Been Ruled Out Indefinetly With A "Back Injury" AKA He Has Played His Last Game For The Mavericks
ESPN –
The Dallas Mavericks are ruling out Rajon Rondo indefinitely, citing a back injury Rondo sustained Tuesday night at Houston, the team said Wednesday. Rondo played only 34 seconds in the second half of Dallas’ Game 2 loss, benched by Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle after picking up two quick fouls, while defending James Harden, as well as a technical. The former All-Star logged just under 10 minutes of court time for the whole game.
Oh how the mighty have fallen, Rajon Rondo went from a notch below Bird and Russell in Boston to an absolute bum in Dallas, to the point where the team doesn’t even want him to play because he makes the team worse. Back when Rondo got traded in December I thought the Mavericks were a shoe-in to win the title. A pass first point guard stacked with shooters around him, one of whom is a hall of famer, along with a defensive stopper in the middle? Championship city. Turns out Rondo was in fact the headcase/prima donna people in Boston made him out to be and by the end of the season he had checked out mentally because he didn’t like Mavs coach Rick Carlisle and knew he was going to sign somewhere else after the season is over. The other night, Rondo got an 8 second violation dribbling up the court despite the fact that the Rockets were applying zero pressure, if thats not #MAILTIME I don’t know what is. Gunna be a real shitshow next year in LA with him and Kobe and I can’t wait to see it.
