Kentucky Fan Arrested For Giving Her 1 Year Old Nephew Rum and Beer To Celebrate The Win Over Notre Dame

TSNA 29-year-old Kentucky fan was arrested Saturday night in Garrard County, Ky., on charges of wanton endangerment, endangering welfare of a minor and criminal abuse after allegedly giving her 1-year-old nephew beer and rum as she celebrated Kentucky’s 68-66 win over Notre Dame.

She pleaded not guilty to the charges Monday, according to WAVE. The arrest citation says Spoonamore gave the baby alcohol through his sippy cup and at one point threw him to to the ground. The baby was taken to a hospital with an injured lip.

Angela Spoonamore, 29, told WLEX she was drunk at the party and doesn’t remember being arrested. The report also said Spoonamore referred to the baby as her niece until she was reminded it was her nephew.

“I don’t believe this,” Spoonamore said as she read the arrest report. “I would never hurt them babies.”

Listen I’m not some braindead meathead caveman, I would never condone getting a 1 year old child drunk and throwing him around on the ground and injuring him. That’s just ridiculously awful and child services needs to get in there right away. But it’s kind of like that Louis CK bit.  Of course I know putting rum and beer in a 1 year old’s sippy cup is horrible, of course tossing him to the ground while celebrating a huge win to go to the Final Four and sending him to the hospital is barbaric and the adult should be locked up, of course, OF COURSE.

But maybe………maybe if the kid wants to learn what being a UK fan is all about and grow up properly adjusted to Kentucky sports life, he kind of needs to start young? Needs to learn that life is all about the Cats and nothing else matters except getting hammered drunk and celebrating their wins as crazy as possible?  That health and well-being and sobriety all gets kicked to the curb when team pride is at stake?  Maybe…maybe.
