Hannibal Buress Rips A Heckler At His Show

I feel like a lot of people got their first taste of Hannibal Buress last night on the Justin Bieber Roast. Even though the dude has been around and is on Broad City now and definitely made it, I still feel like last night was a coming out party for him. If you missed the roast last night, here was his jokes:

Anyway all this stuff – the heckler and the Bieber jokes – are what make Hannibal so fucking funny. The casual, dead pan delivery of straight up brutal honesty is infinitely funnier than any rimshot punchlines in my mind. Last night when he told Pete Davidson he had a vague face and he didnt like talking to him and when he flat out said he didn’t like Bieber’s music and when he told Kevin Hart he’s sure that his career success will last forever, that all made me laugh way more than any Anne Frank-9/11-black dick jokes. Just a dude telling you exactly what he thinks in a sleepy, monotone voice leaving everyone with that feeling like “Wait I dont think that was even a joke. I think he really meant it.” His response to the heckler was the same thing. Just a guy being like “I dont get why you do that, you cant even get pussy by doing it.” To me the ultimate for a stand up comedian is when some of your genuine thoughts and feelings are funny enough to be your material. I can appreciate the shock value humor like the 9/11 jokes last night. I understand how comedy pushes the envelope and you wanna get those gasps from the audience and what not. I just think the sort of delivery and thought behind Hannibal’s material is the best kind of funny.

PS – Hannibal Buress with the last hole on his snapback is outrageous. He’s gotta have the biggest head in existence.
