DC United's Possible New Stadium Looks Sick And I Would Go See a Soccer Game There

 
 
DCist – With just under two weeks to go until the first Council hearing, D.C. United released new renderings of the stadium proposed to be built at Buzzard Point. “We are excited about the next steps in making the stadium a reality for our fans and the D.C. community,” the team wrote in a blog post today, encouraging supporters to contact the Council. “As part of our commitment, we would like to share the latest renderings of the proposed stadium.” The terms of the deal — which involves land swaps, tax breaks and labor requirements — are complicated. The package is expected to undergo several hearings and may not face a vote until fall.

 
 
I would definitely go see a soccer game if they played there. The stadium looks sick. I’m a sucker for nice looking stadiums. I think we all are though. Going to see a game in a sweet stadium like Camden Yards instead of a shit hole can make or break your experience. I’ve never seen a DC United game at RFK because RFK is a dump and should be bulldozered. If they built this new silly, it’d be hard not to check it out. I mean yea, it’d have to be free and have awesome seats, but I’d still go. State of the art shit rules.
