Seahawk Fan Threatens To Stab Fellow Fan For Leaving The NFC Championship Game Early
SEATTLE – An “excited” and “very intoxicated” Seahawks fan threatened to stab another fan who left CenturyLink Field early during the NFC championship game on Sunday while the Seahawks were still 12 points behind, police say. The incident unfolded outside the stadium at 2:53 p.m., according to the Seattle police report, about the time that Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson threw his last interception and the Green Bay Packers were still ahead of the Seahawks, 19-7.
The victim told officers that he was walking away from the stadium when the suspect came up to him and asked him why he was leaving the game so early. The suspect then pulled out a knife, held it up to the victim’s stomach and told him he should go back inside the stadium, according to the victim. The suspect then backed off and the victim was able to get away and tell patrolling officers what had happened. Police found the suspect, ordered him to the ground and found a Stanley multi-tool in a pouch on his belt with several bladed attachments.
According to the report, the suspect was very intoxicated and reeked of alcohol. His eyes were bloodshot and watery, and he spoke with very slurred speech. After he was read his rights, police say the suspect apologized numerous times and said words to the effect of, “That was a stupid thing I did?” The suspect was booked into King County Jail for investigation of assault.
Now that ladies and gentleman, is a fan. I said on Monday when it was reported that some fans left early that every fanbase has bandwagoners, that there is nothing you can really do about it, that it’s simply the reality of success. Well how wrong was I? Stupid stupid Big Cat. There is something you can do about it. You can patrol the stadium with a knife, threatening to gut any fan that tries to beat traffic. If you want to blame the fans for leaving early then you have to applaud this guy for trying to kill anyone who quit on the team. Checks and Balances. I’m not joking when I say we need more of this. Not actual harm being done, I’m not a monster. But every stadium should have a couple of guys walking around outside looking to murder people who quit on the team. You’re telling me that wouldn’t keep people in the seats until the final whistle? Sometimes we need a couple of knife wielding crazy people. That’s how you keep everyone in check, how you keep the world safe from the real bad guys, the guys who quit on their team.
