Jim Dolan Freaks Out And Fires Employee For Not Recognizing Him, Now All MSG Employees Have Been Given Pictures Of Dolan So They Know Who He Is

NY Post – “Now, do you know who I am?” A day after Madison Square Garden boss James Dolan blew his top at a guard who failed to recognize him, workers at the facility were handed Dolan’s picture so they know what he looks like, The Post has learned. In the wake of Sunday’s incident in which Dolan briefly fired a security worker for daring to ask for his ID, Garden staff have been required to carry their leader’s headshot in their pockets — along with pictures of CEO Hank Ratner and Executive VP of Communications Barry Watkins. Managers told the workers that none of the three honchos is to be stopped or asked for ID. “It was obvious that [the pictures] were given out because of what happened on Sunday night,” a source said. “I just don’t want to be the next person to stop any one of them.” A Madison Square Garden spokesperson said last night: “The MSG Arena has executive offices and suites and, like any other company, we have security for those areas. Security personnel in those areas need to know who executives are from the company and, in an effort to assist them, we provide photos and bios.” On Sunday, Dolan became enraged after security guard Fiordaliza Hernandez asked for his ID outside of the Delta Sky 360 club, sources said. “Do you know who I am?” Dolan said to the guard. Hernandez admitted she didn’t and refused to let him through. The MSG chief got so mad at the snub, he fired Hernandez on the spot — though overnight he had a change of heart and reinstated the woman on Monday, sources said.
