Fuckin' Eli
Listen, I’m one of the biggest Eli apologists there is. I’ll go to bat for a QB who brought me a pair of improbable Super Bowls any day & point out whenever his picks are the fault of a receiver not making a play for him. Not today though. I still have no idea how every other ball to Randle has him cutting in the opposite direction – but 5 picks are 5 picks. The Big Blue defense managed to limit all the Niners action to between the 20’s, but it’s hard to answer with points when a turnover ends every drive after Eli & Co. opened the game with an easy 7. In typical Giants fashion, they strung along their fans the rest of the way only to kick us square in the dick at the end. After ODB made this bananas catch to put the G-Men at the 4 with 5 minutes left…
…three straight unsuccessful fades and Eli’s last pick of the afternoon put any hopes of a win to bed. Simply inexcusable for McAdoo not to have a mixed bag in that spot. Inexcusable not to get 6. Or maybe it’s just inexcusable for me to expect anything different at this point.
