Bears Open Free Agency With Jimmy Graham & Robert Quinn While QB Addition Looms
So if you haven't been keeping up with everything here's where the Bears are essentially at:
Jimmy Graham & Robert Quinn are IN, while Leonard Floyd & Chase Daniel are OUT. Floyd was cut to save the Bears from that $13 million dollar hit and Daniel suckered yet another team (the Lions) into giving him a multi-year, multi-million dollar deal. I'll have alot more on the additions on tomorrows Red Line Radio, but for now I'm kind of "eh". I don't love Jimmy Graham for a multitude of reasons, mainly because he hasn't produced in what feels like years. But, then I do love the idea of Robert Quinn if we're getting what the Cowboys got last year. It's kind of complex so I honestly suggest listening to the pod if you give a shit about what I think.
As far as Chase Daniel goes, I wish him the best. He came up clutch in that 2018 Thanksgiving game and it'll definitely be what I forever remember him for. No idea how he keeps doing it, but more power to him. As for Leonard Floyd - I have the same feeling in that I wish him the best. Things started out so promising and it blows that it all never came to fruition. If a #9 pick doesn't make it past his rookie contract you can't really say that it was a good run, but for some reason I don't hold any animosity toward him at all. It's one of those weird things where he played hard, played well, but at that cap hit he was due/the money he would want next year it just no longer became worth it for the Bears.
Now can we finally figure out who the QB is going to be?! Keenum's gone. Teddy's off the board, but that brought Cam on the board.
So now we're looking at:
Andy Dalton, Nick Foles, Cam Newton, or something outside the box.
I'm at the point where I don't care anymore. Anything is an upgrade and I need my sanity.
Bear Down.
