Oh No! You Truly Just Hate To See #FireDubas Trending In Toronto These Days
Wait, why? What happened? Are the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-5-1 in their last 10 games or something? Are they coming dangerously close to getting knocked out of a playoff position by the Florida Panthers who are only 2 points behind them in the standings with 2 games in hand? Did they forget that sometimes you actually have to keep the puck out of your own net when they decided to pay 4 forwards about a billion dollars and not leave any cap space to address their goaltending issues? Because if you were to tell me that the Toronto Maple Leafs are in total disaster mode right now, I simply wouldn't believe you. Though I'll admit the Maple Leafs fans seem to be making some solid arguments to prove their point.
I feel bad for Toronto fans. I genuinely do. They've been hoodwinked, bamboozled, led astray, run amok, and flat out deceived by this organization. The pieces are still there for this team to go on a run at some point with the majority of the core still intact (just look at how long it took Washington to figure it out with their core group of guys), but they've been lied to in how quickly it was going to happen. They were told to start getting ready for the Cup to head back home to Toronto the moment that Dubas signed Tavares and now it looks like they're even further away than they were that summer. The Toronto fans don't deserve that. They are good, honest, hard working people who just want to see a hockey team that matches their intensity. But it's all been ripped away from them by a calculator boy calling the shots. Devastating.
