Democratic Presidential Candidates are Whooping My Ass in Physical Competitions

Wes and I went to Iowa earlier this week to learn why they caucus first, and in general check out the scene leading up to the first Democratic caucus of 2020, which will decide who runs against President Trump later this year.

Ever since Joe Biden challenged a fat heckler to a push-up contest earlier this year (I think it may have been in Iowa), I've been somewhat fixated on the idea of solving elections through push-up contests. Especially since I think my physical appearance as a fat guy in America, Biden may just challenge me to one on the spot if I ever meet him in the flesh.

Iowa was great, and a video will be dropping by the time they Caucus on Monday recapping the whole thing, but this little clip already made it out, and it's making me second guess my whole approach to this election interview process.

I knew I was going to challenge and then lose to Delaney, he's an animal in the gym and always posting workout videos. But I didn't think I was only going to get to fucking 12 half-pushups in the time he did 20.

Anyway, this approach took another mental turn for the worse for me last night. We had another Democratic Presidential candidate on the show, Tom Steyer, and while he wouldn't agree to a push-up contest with me (or tell us if he would beat Joe Biden), he instead offered a pity workout for when he comes through Reno, NV next time…. here's the clip.

So, like I said earlier, my whole approach of trying to get these candidates to beat me in push-up contests for video content has become more of a make-a-wish campaign thing for the candidates to hopefully motivate a fat guy in his mid-30s to improve his health, and now I'm very shook that I need to look respectable in this Steyer workout video if he does it when he comes through Reno.
