If The Chiefs Are Going To The Super Bowl, We Need A Petition To Let Andy Reid Coach In A Hawaiian Shirt
I know I'm getting a little ahead of myself here since there's still an AFC Championship game to be played and Andy Reid is 1-8 against the Titans in his career. But still, preparation is the key to success and if Kansas City wins on Sunday then we'll only have 2 weeks to get this movement going. So we might as well not waste anymore time and get it going right now.
If the Chiefs are heading to Miami for the Super Bowl, Andy Reid deserves to be able to coach this game in a Hawaiian. Actually, scratch that. The world deserves to see Andy Reid coach that game in a Hawaiian. This man has the most amount of wins out of any NFL head coach without a championship. He's only been to the Super Bowl once in his career and who knows if he'll ever have the chance to make it back. If things go their way on Sunday, this could be the final chance to Andy Reid to finally get those gloriously greasy paws of his on the Lombardi Trophy. So for the love of god and the love of ordering 3 steaks at dinner, let Andy Reid do this with the ultimate style and the ultimate comfort.
I know the NFL has a rule forcing coaches to wear team-branded gear on the sidelines but other than that, I think the dress code is more of less "who gives a shit, wear whatever you want". I have to imagine that if you cruised through the NFL rulebook, you wouldn't find anything in there specifically preventing head coaches from wearing a Hawaiian shirt on the sideline. All you'd need to do is sew a Chiefs logo onto one of many Hawaiian shirts Andy Reid already owns and that should do the trick.
The weather in Miami would be perfect. Andy would look perfect. And it would just be the perfect way for him to finally capture the one thing missing from his head coaching resume. Again, I realize there's that pesky little AFC Championship still in the way of making this happen. But if everything works out according to plan here, this could finally be the year. Look good, feel good, coach like an absolute legend.
