Kevin Durant Spent His Night In A 'Fuck Off' Twitter Fight Because Nobody Cares About The Nets

I gotta admit, part of me loves that Kevin Durant is spending his year rehabbing and then just getting into Twitter fights. More importantly I love that he's doing it from his own account. He doesn't give a fuck that you don't give a fuck - or something like that. I mean, there is truth to it. I wonder how many people think the Nets are still the New Jersey Nets, there's a 100% chance someone you know thinks that.

Obviously Durant is going to defend his (new) franchise. But things really start to pick up thanks to Macklin here:

I was ready to be opposite of noted stoolie Kevin Durant here. That was until boomer Twitter got involved.

I hate people that still bring up the Bird/Magic type of rivalry. Shit is different than 35 years ago, shocking I know. But let's not act like Magic/Bird would be different if they were playing today. Everyone is so goddamn stuck on thinking whenever they did something was the best instead of what we are watching now. I love the 90s. Fucking love the early-mid 2000s too. This is the most talented the league has ever been and it ain't close. I digress though. This is about Kevin Durant and Twitter fights. Our friend Macklin chimes back in.

We even got our burner account burn with a decent response back by Durant:

Kevin Durant being … self-aware? New year, new me type shit out of him here. But wait! There's still more. We had our obligatory Knicks vs Nets argument:

I don't think it's a hot take to say the Knicks will always be the center of attention in New York, no matter how bad they are and how much James Dolan sucks. It's still the Knicks. The Garden will always be loud, Clem and I have talked about Garden Games before and that's a real thing. Nice little dig about Durant not being able to handle playing for the Knicks.

I don't know about this Brandon fella, but, uh yeah Kevin. The reality is I wanted you to do what I wanted you to do - be a goddamn New York Knick. That's called being a fan - something Nets 'fans' could learn a thing or two about. Do I feel a weird way about it? No, just anger. I wanted to be friends - after all you say you consume all Barstool content.

So here we are starting off 2020 the way we should and the way we're used to in NBA Twitter world. Kevin Durant is fighting on Twitter.
