Rangers Look To Take Stranglehold Of Series With Another Win In Philly

The Rangers haven’t won too many playoff series in recent history. Three since the ’08-’09 season to be exact – and all took 7 games. Anything less than 7 would be a breeze in comparison, and another W in the Flyers’ living room tonight would all but guarantee that. It’ll undoubtedly take the Blueshirts’ best effort. Philly is fully aware that another L is a wrap & I’m sure they’ll be skating like it. They’ve got their #1 netminder back in Steve Mason, but whether or not that’s a benefit remains to be seen. I’m not sure 7 minutes of Game 3 is enough to shake off two weeks of cobwebs & steal a must-win game. Rumor has it Berube will be shuffling his power play in hopes of finding some offense, too. A lot of question marks on the orange & black bench while the Rangers look to keep rolling. Led by a resurgent Marty St. Louis & all-world goalie, NY is clicking on all cylinders with contributions from all the way down to Daniel Carcillo Gorilla Salad. If they can remain disciplined and cash in on a power play or two of their own, poor Claude Giroux is gonna look a little foolish.
