Ilya Kovalchuk Signs One Year 700k Deal With Habs, B's 2nd Line RW Search Continues

Aaaand there it is. Ilya Kovalchuk has signed a one year (two way) deal with the Montreal Canadiens worth $700K. The Habs top 6 has been decimated with injuries so it makes sense why they'd take a flyer on Kovy. Low risk, high reward which is why I was keen on the B's signing him to try and fix their top 6 2nd line right wing issue. 

The revolving door of searching for a right winger for David Krejci continues! Karson Kuhlman is in Providence looking to get back to game speed from his foot fracture, he could be an option. Danton Heinen has had a few solid stretches with Krejci and DeBrusk but it seems like Don Sweeney's biggest need (again) before the trade deadline is a scoring winger. Bring me Tyler Toffoli Donny!

Now that he's with the Habs I'd like to officially say fuck Kovalchuk.
