Trevor Zegras Is An American Hero

Goodness gracious. It's not like Trevor Zegras walked into the 2020 World Juniors as an unknown name. He was the 9th pick of the 2019 NHL Draft to the Anaheim Ducks last June. But he'll be leaving this tournament as an American Hero. And that's what the World Juniors is all about. Over the course of 2 weeks, legends are born and remembered forever. Trevor Zegras will be one of them.

9 assists so far this tournament in just 4 games. And this one right here was as dirty as they come.

What a sick bastard. You see him realize that Jack Drury is going to be cutting through the slot, then realizes it would be far too easy to just set him up with a standard pass so he breaks out the spin-o-rama to make sure he gets his 2020 World Juniors highlight video at least a full 5 minutes long. Just look at the shit this kid has been able to do in these 4 games so far.

He is out of his damn mind and there's still a 3rd period left to play here against the Czechs, then the quarterfinals, then a semifinal matchup, and then a gold medal game. He might end up with 25 primary assists this week. What a tournament and what a coming out party for Trevor Zegras. Between him and Troy Terry, the Anaheim Ducks are about to become America's team.
